Photos From My Life
One way my family keeps our memories are by taking photos. Even though most of my photos are on my phone, there's still a huge pile of photo albums somewhere in the back of my closet, and it is always fun looking back into the past. Here are two pictures that trigger so many of my memories:
I remember this day very clearly. Some of my friends and I went on a "field trip" to an apple farm in Indiana back in October. There weren't only a few of us going. There were enough kids to fill most of a school bus. I knew most of the other kids, but I sat with my very close friends; Riha, Suwaiba, and Hafsa. It was kind of like a school field trip with supervisors, a school bus, and lunches served to us, but at the same time, there were fewer rules and more freedom, which made it better.
I remember being able to go around wherever we wanted around the farm, and just meeting up for lunch. We stayed there for nearly 8 hours, picking apples and pumpkins, playing with the animals, and devouring apple cider donuts. We even got lost in a corn maze for a good 45 minutes, which almost made us miss the bus back home.
This picture was taken last summer when my cousins had just immigrated to the U.S. My family took them out to see Chicago. My toddler cousins loved riding on the huge slides in Millenium Park and seeing their reflection on The Bean. Since I'd been to Chicago many times already, I used the experience as a chance to take some pictures, and this one was one of my favorites.
These pictures are very important to me. Maybe one day, I'll be able to show these pictures to my future kids and say "Back in my day..." or "When I was your age..." In the future, I will also continue to take pictures for the future-me to look back at, just like how I look back on these.

I love the picture that you took in Chicago. It's beautiful.
